چکیده

In this paper, we use interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) annual and time-series analysis of RADARSAT-2 SAR data, spanning from September 2011 to October 2022, study the temporal–spatial characteristics land subsidence in Hengshui, North China Plain. The data reveal two large-scale areas individually located north Hengshui city around Hutuo River east or south along Fuyang, Suolu Qingliang Rivers. fastest arises after 2017, with maximum rate exceeding 11 cm/year. We correlate observed central table variation groundwater depression, three confined aquifers, hydraulic head declines aquifers time-dependent total variation. find a spatial consistency between depression displacement heads both manifest clear seasonal variability. This suggests that is primarily caused by extraction for agricultural use. also observe rates did not decrease but rather increased when significantly rose 2019. It very likely as result occurrence thick widespread continuity clay layers high compressibility Quaternary deposit new preconsolidation could be generated due drop, leading effective still existing aquitards even if rises aquifer systems.

Ps-insar Measurement of Land Subsidence in Bangkok Metropolitan Area

It is well known that the metropolitan area of Bangkok, Thailand, has been subsiding during the past decades. This ground deformation has been monitored using leveling networks on annual basis since 1978. However, the employed technique is costly, time-consuming, and able to monitor only on a limited number of benchmarks. InSAR (Interferometric Synthetic Aperture Radar), which can provide sub-c...

Insar and Polinsar for Land Subsidence Monitoring User Perspective

In this paper the selected interferometric studies of subsidence caused by underground mining are discussed. Despite the common limitations the traditional single-polarization InSAR technique is already proved its high potential in this application. Today, the determination of the areas of affected by terrain deformation risks becomes one of the most promising applications for operational use o...

InSAR Time-Series Analysis of Land Subsidence under Different Land Use Types in the Eastern Beijing Plain, China

In the Beijing plain, the long-term groundwater overexploitation, exploitation, and the utilization of superficial urban space have led to land subsidence. In this study, the spatial–temporal analysis of land subsidence in Beijing was assessed by using the small baseline subset (SBAS) interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) technique based on 47 TerraSAR-X SAR images from 2010 to 2015....

Accuracy Assessment of GLM and FDA Models for Land Subsidence Susceptibility Mapping in Semnan Plain

The mechanism of land subsidence and soil deformation is the dissipation of the excess pore water pressure and the compaction of the soil skeleton under the effect of natural or man-made factors. Land subsidence has occurred in more of 300 plains of Iran, and Semnan Plain is one of the most important areas that face to this phenomenon. The aim of current research was land subsidence susceptibil...

Subsidence Evolution of the Leizhou Peninsula, China, Based on InSAR Observation from 1992 to 2010

Over the past two decades, the Leizhou Peninsula has suffered from many geological hazards and great property losses caused by land subsidence. However, the absence of a deformation map of the whole peninsula has impeded the government in making the necessary decisions concerning hazard prevention and mitigation. This study aims to provide the evolution of land deformation (subsidence and uplif...
